Mason's pumpkin patch field trip

We went as a family to Mason's pumpkin patch field trip again this year and had so much fun! Mason was so excited because he remembered everything from last year when they went. Chace was so excited just because Mason was and I was so excited to get our pumpkins because I love carving them!

Mason is really excited this year because one of his best friends is in his class!

First they headed into the hay maze....

Mason did pretty good helping Chace through it but lost him a couple times!?

Then we headed to the animals...

An attempt of a class picture! Allot more kids this year in his class!!

Climbing time!

Then we all loaded up on the tractor and headed to the pumpkin patch....

Then we were on our way to hunt for a pumpkin....

The boys kept finding HUGE pumpkins they wanted to take home!?

But the rule was they had to find a pumpkin they could carry out on their own. So we kept looking for ones more their own size...

Chace was getting pretty tired by this time

We headed back and took a couple more pictures...

I love it when I try to take a picture with my boys and Im the only one looking at the camera!?

We went home and got ready for our pumpkin party we were going to have that night with my parents.

Scot and the boys raked some leaves and put them in giant pumpkin garbage bags. I've always wanted to try those when I drive by and see them in other peoples yards they look so cute!

I was so excited to make one of my favorite soups and use my new pumpkin serving bowl. (Originally from "Linen-n-things" but I got it brand new still packaged in the box from Good Will for $8!!!)

The Pumpkin Chowder I make is soooooooo yummmy! It's a family favorite that I got years ago from a friend. (thanks susanne) I know it looks like baby food but it's seriously so good and perfect for the fall!

Here is some of my decorations I put outside this year for Halloween....

I always wanted to do this one that looks like your house landed on the wicked witch. This one was kind of hard to explain to my boys since they have never seen the wizard of Oz yet?! Mason was worried that there really was one under there and we needed to help her get out :)

With one of my pumpkins I used some tissue paper I got from my sister and mod podged it on to it. It turned out pretty cool looking!

Then we did something different this year and spray painted our pumpkins. The boys thought this was so cool! Chace's is army colored, Scot's is yellow, mine is black and then I drilled holes all over to make it look like polka dots when it's all lit up and Mason's is PINK of course. This is still his favorite color for the 2nd year in a row now?!

I also got this neat little candle stand from the Good Will and thought it would work perfect to put our pumpkins on!

We ended our fun pumpkin party by cooking the seeds. YUM!

Love all the pictures! Your kids are so adorable and you look gorgeous (as always)! Your decorations are awesome. LOVE the witch under the house. Haha! I got out my decorations yesterday and realized that I am in serious need for more! And yay, you made the pumpkin chowder!! That is one of my favorite recipes to make when the weather gets cool. We try different varieties to make it chunky. Our favorite is to add kilbasa (sp?) and potato chunks. YUM!
