Christmas 2010

Christmas was so fun this year! We celebrated Christmas with my parents on Christmas Eve. My brother and his family came too and it felt like the actual Christmas morning to me! My mom had a made us a big breakfast and then after that it was time to open presents!

My mom gave the boys each their own truck that you can build and take apart with an electric screw driver. They both really like them!

Chace loved that he got his own big box of CHOCOLATE!?

I love this picture my mom got me for saying thank you for helping out so much during her accident recovery time. These pictures have always been a favorite of mine and I would love to learn how to take some myself!

It was nice being all together!

But we had to say goodbye to Scotland because he had to work that day :(

But little did he know I had a huge surprise for him that he would get a few hours later. It's a secret I've been keeping for a couple months. His parents had planned to fly in and surprise him and the boys for a quick visit. Scotland thought that after I was done at my parents house that day I would swing by his precinct so the boys could see him one last time before the big day. I first picked his parents up at the airport then went to his precinct as planned. He drove up and parked his patrol car. Before he even got out we all started walking up to his car together. He was so surprised and gave both his parents BIG hugs. His dad was able to stay with him on his shift for the rest of the night and do a ride along.

The next morning came quick since we didn't get to bed until 3:00am. I waited up for Scotland to get home to play Santa as we do together every year. We had lots of presents to set out and he wanted to get the new X box and connect set up. About 4 1/2 hrs. later the boys woke up!?

They went straight to their stockings first....

Then on to the good stuff!

Then after sometime went by and we had some breakfast and played with some toys my parents came over to visit before they started their road trip. We waited for them to give the boys their biggest gift. This Christmas and this specific gift will be remembered for a long time! "Santa" dropped this gift off to us and had it all set in the backyard 4 days before Christmas!? We didn't want the boys to see it so we wrapped the back windows and kept the curtains shut all day and night for those 4 days. They didn't notice one bit. They didn't even see that the windows were wrapped up. So we were so proud of ourselves for being successful in this surprise!

I told the boys that I just found a note from Santa that said he has one more gift for them....

See it for the first time....wish I was on the other side of that door with my camera!?!?!

Grandma joined in on the fun.....

After a while Scotland had to go to work again but it was ok because I got to go with him! Grandma and Grandpa stayed with the boys and I went on a ride along for a full shift! We had allot of fun together and I can now tell people I went to jail on Christmas :)

How awesome that they got a trampoline! The trampoline is Gavin's favorite at his gymnastics class each week. :) And I adore that 'love' picture! I've been working on my own so that I can do 'ashby'. I still need to find a good "A" that goes with the rest of the letters I've got.
P.S. It was so fun to see you guys while we were up there!!! Miss you!
