VEGAS BABY!!!

(Picture taken by my phone...don't worry they all aren't this bad!?)

Scotland and I celebrated my 30th birthday and our 10 year anniversary in Vegas! We stayed 5 days and I still think that wasn't enough!? We flew to UT and dropped the boys off with Grandma and Grandpa, stayed a couple of nights and then we were off to Vegas for a much needed vacation just the two of us! Something we hadn't done in 10 years!! I got so sick on that flight getting into Vegas and then I had to get on a big hot shuttle bus to our Hotel which wasn't my ideal way to start out a vacation but what do you do......
So on to the good stuff.....PICTURES!!!!

(Grab a drink and snack because there is 144 pictures but I didn't want to leave out a single memory!)

We stayed at the Flamingo. This is one of the older hotels but we loved it because it was right on the strip in the middle! Also was very affordable!!

It had beautiful real flamingos...

Our pool was amazing! We woke up early every morning to go down and get a couple chairs then we just laid out most the morning and slept some more...... This was just the 18 and older pool but they had lots of "family" pools and they were all connected with slides that you could slide down to get to different ones. It was so important to stay at a place with such a awesome pool because the weather was insane! 110 degrees the last two days we were there and only got down to 91 degrees at midnight!?!?

The first day we checked in and then hit the strip right away! This was Scotlands first time to Vegas and I wanted to make sure we saw every hotel and the amazing sites along the whole strip!

Paris

Scotland was so amazed at how BIG all the buildings were!

MGM Grand

Excalibur

I LOVE THE DESIGN OF NEW YORK NEW YORK HOTEL!

This is a statue of liberty made out of "Jelly Beans"

Monte Carlo

We really wanted to see the "Jabbawockeez" (from americans best dance crew) but they were all sold out for the week we were there?!

Wynn

This is inside The Venetian. It's so cool in there because your inside but feel like your outside!

The architecture and detail is so fascinating....

Can't remember what Hotel we were in but it was really pretty

Inside the Luxor (where Scotlands parents stay every time they come)

Circus Circus - This was my favorite place to go when my parents would take me but this visit circus circus was not as fun as I remember it?! It was really run down and ghetto on that end of the strip and I also don't remember it being so small. But I guess to a kid it would be paradise!

M&M Factory!! This made us really miss the boys ( for a minute ) They would have loved this place!!

THE ROCK

Blue Man Group

The closest I will ever get to wearing a "Bikinni"!?!?... LOL

A bear!?...Not really sure what it was there for?

Had to get a picture of Spongebob and Patrick for the boys. You usually have to pay these people to get a picture of them but I was sneaky sneaky....

Mandalay Bay were we saw "The Lion King". That was absolutley incredable!!

Here are some pictures of the night life in Vegas. I love Vegas at night! The strip is so beautiful and the town really NEVER sleeps!!! This was also my favorite time because that meant dinner!! We ate out at buffets EVERY NIGHT! Our favorite was "PLANET HOLLYWOOD". That was the best buffet we have ever eaten at in our lives! We actually ended up eatting there twice. The worst place was Paris buffet!! There food was actually pretty gross and not a good selection. Total waist of money!

The exploding valcano at The Mirage

Treasure Island or "T.I" I think they are calling it now?!....The pirate show has totally changed from when I saw it last. It was actually really fun and entertaining back then but now it's really dumb and just a bunch of girls dancing around and not so much about pirates!?

The fountain show at The Bellagio

We also took a bus down to Fremont Street. For those that don't know what that is it's a street that they covered with a canopy and at night they have lazer light shows going all night with live music and a zip line that runs down the middle of it over everyones head. ( in the picture below with the american flag you can see someone on it about to enter into the street) The street is very loud and crowded but it was so fun and something you definatly have to check out at least once!

Our last night there we got a yummy drink from "Margaritaville". A virgin Peach Mango smoothie and it came in a HUGE cup that looked like a blender! It was sooooo good and so worth every penny...... All 1,600 of them!?!?

Mean while back at Grandma and Grandpas house the boys were having so much fun!

Fishing with Grandpa

Horse back ridding

Picnics

After we flew back into Salt Lake we all went to a little Town called Zermatt and stayed 3 nights in a nice condo! It had a German/Swiss feel. It was fun and very relaxing after a vacation like Vegas. We played in the pool allot, did some shopping and the boys went golfing.

This was a crater that had a natural hot spring inside. People would go down scubba diving in it. No thank you!? The boys thought it was pretty cool.

The top of the crater is all fenced up for obvious reasons. So grateful for that!

We had fun hanging out just us girls.....and the two rug rats.

Couple pictures before church

Chace loves to sit on daddys lap and drive! Even if it is only for a few feet :)

There was this HUGE chess/checker game you could play outside

After Zermatt we stop at Lagoon for the day on our way back to Logan. Whats a trip to Utah if you can't stop at Lagoon!

Scotland and his dad did the drag racing

Our last night in Logan we went out to eat and then to the theater to see Cars 2! The boys really loved it and Mason is already asking for the video game!?

We are so grateful for family and for making our Vegas trip possiable by taking the boys for us. We know that was not an easy task but the memories the boys have (and us) will last forever. Thank you soooooooo much again!

What a great gift to yourselves...glad you had a great time! Don't you wish on vacations like these, you could bring along a photographer so you could get pictures of the 2 of you other than self-portraits?
P.S. looove the long dress you wore in Vegas--so pretty!

What an amazing trip!!! I'm so glad that you had that much fun and your boys probably loved spending some one-on-one time with their grandma and grandpa. BTW you look beautiful in every picture. One of these days you have to teach me your trick for being so photogenic :)
