Road Trip!

We took a rode trip to Bakersfield California to visit family! My parents went too but in their own car. It took us 14 hours to get there and we drove straight through both ways at night. The boys did pretty good but that first night we left we had only been on the freeway for about 10 min. when Chace asked if we were there yet!?......we told him only 13 hours and 50 min. to go....go to sleep!!! I actually complained the most I think. That is a very long and boring drive! Growing up as a child we drove it all the time and it didn't seem that bad but now that Im the adult and need to stay awake to keep Scotland awake it is awful!? But well worth it. Here are some of our fun memories!

My dad had brought a pool clear from Washington to fill up for the boys to play in while at G.G.'s house.




We really enjoyed spending time with my dad's parents. They look so healthy. I don't think they have changed very much in 25 years. I can only hope that Scotland and I will be in half as good as shape as they are at their age! Thanks for being such "Great Grandparents" (literally) to my two little boys.


Now onto my Aunt's house.....my mom's sister.
We stayed at my Aunt Terrie's house (Thank you so much!) and my boys were in heaven because she has a "in ground" swimming pool!!! So we did a little bit of lounging around and allot of swimming!!




My twin cousin's are "professional swim instructors" :) and they taught Mason how to swim! Thanks so much guys for saving me money on swim lessons for him!! Even though Mason said your lesson's were boring....lol. He must have enjoyed them because they worked! You guys are awesome and I thank you so much for teaching him!

It didn't matter day or night we took every opportunity we could to take a dip in the pool!

I tried getting as much sun as I could!!!


My uncle Kurt also helped me out sooooo much with my neck. I woke up one morning a couple weeks ago with the worst pain I've ever felt in my neck. I even went to urgent care and all they gave me was drugs. I went to a couple massage therapist and they helped a little but the next day the pain slowly came back. So my uncle Kurt who is a chiropractor did some "snap crackle and popping" and tada....all better! THANKS SO MUCH UNCLE KURT!


Then finally my cousin Tawnie and her husband Jake showed up with the one little person I've been dying to see! Her name is Olivia and she is so dang cute!



Chace had an instant attraction to her




He brought his baby doll to California that just happen to be named Olivia too

While not swimming or sleeping the boys loved to play with the twins old toys. Especially these marbles!? Chace just LOVED them!





Couldn't leave out Jenger...this is such an awesome dog. Put up with the boys the 5 days we were there and so nice and gentle.


I also got to visit with my Nano. This is my mom's mom. She has a bit of memory loss but I could still feel the love she has for me and I know she can tell how much we all love her! She even gave my two boys kisses and told them she loves them. That was one of the highlights of the trip for me.








We also went and visit my Papo's grave site. My mom's dad.


Its so comforting to know that we can all live together as a family forever if we choose to.


We also took a day and went to Magic Mountain with my cousins. We had so much fun! Thank you mom for taking us on this fun trip! Mason still talks about the dancing contest "he won" :) and Chace still talks about the road runner roller coaster that I think he set a record riding the most times in one day!?

Since I get motion sickness very easy Scotland had to ride most of the kitty rides with the boys......so funny they even make an adult go on some of these!? Thank goodness the twins came to ride some of the big rides with him so he could have a little fun.
