Road Trip! May26-June7 2010

Today we got back from a 11 day road trip! We've been through 5 different states (Or.,Id.,UT.,Wy.,Mt.) and managed to be pulled over 3 times by state troopers!? Once going to UT and twice coming home. 2 of the times were only 7 hrs. apart. There was so much construction from here to UT. that the 55 speed zones just sneak up on you. Anyway to make 3 long stories short we got out of all 3 tickets. Every time we were asked to show our license and registration we had to open the glove box where Scotland kept his duty weapon. So before opening it we would always warn the trooper ahead of time that his gun was in there along with the registration. Then we conveniently showed Scotland's badge as we brought out the paper's they needed to see. So I think that had something to do with getting out of all those tickets?! :) Anyway on with the road trip. We drove to Logan UT. first to visit Scotland's parents and brother and his wife. We love going to visit them!...we just think we will never drive it again!?

Doing one of Mason's favorite thing to do with Grandpa..... Here is Chace doing what he does when ever he is around a lawn mower. He has to be held because he is scared of the loud noise.....

Chace with Uncle Chris

Mason getting ready for a fishing trip

Chace smelling "power bait"....ewwww!?

The next day we loaded up again and drove to Henry's Lake right by Yellowstone. Another 5 hr. drive! But we stopped halfway in Blackfoot to see Scotland's grandparents. Mason with his Great Grandma Armstrong

Giving his Great Grandpa Armstrong high five

Some cousins that live there also

Then we get to Henry's Lake and it's soooooo cold! There was even one day that it snowed...(almost June?!) Fishing with daddy This is how Chace looked most of the time

Grandpa and one of his catches

Uncle Chris and his catch

And Scotland with his big catch :) (sorry babe maybe next time)

We stayed in a very nice cabin and played games

We also drove into Yellowstone and saw some buffalo walk right past our car

We walked around the Hot springs or Mason would call them stink pots.

Old Faithful ...(picture below, not above) Not calling you old Mike :)

Here we all are.... After Yellowstone we went back to Logan and just relaxed and hung out for a few day's

We had some good friends over from Preston and Rexburg. We sat around a fire and roasted some s'mores! Next we headed to Syracuse UT. to visit my sister and her family. We love to stay with them and watch our boys have so much fun with their cousins.

Thanks to all for the fun memories we made and thanks to the troopers for the not so fun memories .

Just wanted to add a funny video of Chace in the car

Another one of Chace telling me to "Be nice"
